Pop Rock Electric Bass Courses

After completing the degree programme,graduates of First Level in Popular Music should have acquired the knowledge of techniques and specific skills that will enable them to concretely realize their artistic idea. Starting from the instrument on which they have carried out their training, they will also have acquired basic skills in musical arrangement, the realization of concerts following specific modes of performance, record production, electronic media and networks. Special attention should be paid to the acquisition of appropriate postural and emotional control techniques. In addition, with regard to the specificity of each course, the student should possess adequate skills in the field of improvisation. At the end of the three-year course, students should have acquired a thorough knowledge of the stylistic, historical and general aesthetic aspects of popular music, including important and qualifying excursions into the languages of improvisation. It is also an educational objective of the course to acquire adequate skills in the field of musical informatics, recording and production techniques, as well as those related to a second community language.

High School Diploma or other equivalent qualification obtained in a non-Italian school and recognized.

1) Performance of 2 pieces taken from the list below, one of which is chosen by the candidate, one chosen by the commission (with accompaniment
bass/double bass, drums and any other instruments or using musical bases on digital support).

2) Performance of a standard (1 Pop Ballad) chosen by the candidate for solo instrument
3) Performance of a piece at first sight. For harmonic instruments: with melody and theme songs to harmonize. For monodic instruments: reading of the melody and possible interpretation of the theme songs
4) Assessment of technical skills (scales, arpeggios, etc.)
The singers must present the songs both in Italian and in English

The committee reserves the right to discontinue the test at any time.

SECOND TEST
1) The candidate must demonstrate mastery in the use of notation codes, in the knowledge of the fundamental elements of music theory and in the exercise of the fundamental skills related to listening and rhythmic and sung reading.
2) The candidate must be able to recognize intervals (within the octave), major and minor scales, modal scales, chords (triads and quadriads in fundamental position)
3) Assessment through oral interview of the basic musical skills of Elements of History of Popular Music.

MUSICAL, GENERAL AND MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEW
Notes: The Commission has the right, for the purposes of evaluation, to select a part of the programme submitted and to listen again and/or to interrupt the implementation.
Aspirants who already have the relevant licenses obtained at the Institutions of Higher Music Education referred to in Law 508/99 are exempt from test no. 2.

Al termine degli studi relativi al Diploma Accademico di secondo livello, gli studenti devono aver acquisito le conoscenze delle tecniche e le competenze specifiche tali da consentire loro di realizzare concretamente la propria idea artistica. A tal fine sarà dato particolare rilievo allo studio del repertorio più rappresentativo dello strumento – incluso quello d’insieme – e delle relative prassi esecutive, anche con la finalità di sviluppare la capacità dello studente di interagire all’interno di gruppi musicali diversamente composti. Tali obiettivi dovranno essere raggiunti anche favorendo lo sviluppo della capacità percettiva dell’udito e di memorizzazione e con l’acquisizione di specifiche conoscenze relative ai modelli organizzativi, compositivi ed analitici della musica ed alla loro interazione. Specifica cura dovrà essere dedicata all’acquisizione di adeguate tecniche di controllo posturale ed emozionale. Al termine del Biennio gli studenti devono aver acquisito una conoscenza approfondita degli aspetti stilistici, storici estetici generali e relativi al proprio specifico indirizzo. Inoltre, con riferimento alla specificità dei singoli corsi, lo studente dovrà possedere adeguate competenze riferite all’ambito dell’improvvisazione. E’ obiettivo formativo del corso anche l’acquisizione di adeguate competenze nel campo dell’informatica musicale nonché quelle relative ad una seconda lingua comunitaria.

Laurea o di diploma accademico di primo livello o di diploma di Conservatorio unitamente a un diploma di scuola secondaria superiore, ovvero di altro titolo di studio conseguito all’estero, riconosciuto idoneo. Occorre altresì che la preparazione acquisita sia coerente e adeguata al corso di secondo livello.
Possono chiedere l’ammissione condizionata i candidati che prevedono di conseguire i titoli richiesti entro la sessione di febbraio-marzo dell’anno accademico di riferimento.

La prima prova tende a verificare le abilità vocali e la maturità musicale del candidato, la seconda le conoscenze teoriche e di cultura musicale di base.

PRIMA PROVA

SECONDA PROVA
1) Il candidato dovrà dimostrare padronanza nell’utilizzo dei codici di notazione, nella conoscenza degli elementi fondamentali della teoria musicale
e nell’esercizio delle fondamentali abilità relative all’ascolto e alla lettura ritmica e cantata.
2) Il candidato dovrà saper riconoscere intervalli (nell’ambito dell’ottava), scale maggiori e minori, scale modali accordi (triadi e quadriadi in
posizione fondamentale)
3) Accertamento tramite colloquio orale delle competenze musicali di base di Elementi di Storia della Popular Music.

COLLOQUIO DI CARATTERE MUSICALE, GENERALE E MOTIVAZIONALE
Note: La Commissione ha facoltà, ai fini della valutazione, di selezionare una parte del programma presentato nonché di riascoltare e/o di interrompere
l’esecuzione.
Vengono esonerati dalla prova n. 2 gli aspiranti già in possesso delle relative licenze conseguite presso le Istituzioni di Alta Formazione Musicale di
cui alla legge 508/99.
